HC Deb 03 December 1974 vol 882 c422W
Mr. Brocklebank-Fowler

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will now allow the Norfolk Education Authority to increase the provision of new schools.

Mr. Armstrong

My right hon. Friend is aware of Norfolk's difficulties with regard to school accommodation and he will be meeting representatives of the authority to discuss these on 11th December. He is not yet ready to allocate resources for school building starts in 1975–76. When the time comes account will be taken of the existing shortfall of places and the expanding school population.
