§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he proposes to bring into force the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
§ Mr. Alexander W. LyonMy right hon. Friend hopes to do this on 1st May 1975. Parliament will first have to be asked to approve orders providing for any necessary exceptions and modifications to the application of the Act, and any requests for such exceptions to be made should reach the Home Office no later than 1st January 1975.
