Cardiff … 2,900 (2.200 male) Ebbw Vale … 2,150 (1,450 male) Shotton … 1,100 (600 male) In addition a major development at Merthyr Tydfil is expected to provide over 3,000 jobs, mostly male.
The above figures take no account of any new jobs which may arise in non-manufacturing sectors. Nor do they include the 500 jobs to be created in the BSC finishing end at Shotton.
