asked the Secretary of State for Defence what are the current regulations concerning the appearance of officers in court when a member of their ship or unit is facing a civil charge.

The current regulations are laid down in the Queen's Regulations for the Royal Navy, Article No. 2041, the Queen's Regulations for the Army, paragraph No. 736, and the Queen's Regulations for the Royal Air Force, paragraphs 1061 and 1062. I shall write to the hon. Member with details.
