§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Prime Minister if he will seek to apply to advisers to Ministers the same rules regarding outside financial interests as apply to Ministers themselves.
§ The Prime MinisterSpecial advisers paid from public funds are civil servants and are subject to the Civil Service rules about outside interests. In all other cases it is the responsibility of individual Ministers to ensure that no conflict is likely to arise.
