Mr. Biffen

asked the Secretary of State for Trade, in view of the disquiet occasioned by the recent accident at Luton Airport involving a Court Line BAC-111 and a Piper Aztec, whether he will examine the need for further safety measures to prevent a repetition of this kind of incident.

Mr. Clinton Davis

The Chief Inspector of Accidents has ordered an inspector's investigation into this accident and his report will state the circumstances and cause and make such observations and recommendations as he thinks fit with a view to the avoidance of similar accidents in the future.
