§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will account for the slippage in the North Sea gas programme (Frigg Field) and indicate when initial deliveries will now be made and in what quantities.
§ Mr. VarleyThe British Gas Corporation tells me that the producing companies expect to begin delivery of gas from the United Kingdom part of the Frigg field, as previously planned, in early 345W 1976 and that the corporation's engineering works on land will be ready in time to receive the gas. The precise quantities to be delivered in 1976 will be in accordance with the contract between the corporation and the producers, which is a commercial matter for the parties. The gas is expected to make a useful contribution to gas supplies in the winter of 1976–77.
