§ Mr. JohnA firm decision on the deployment of Royal Air Force units in East Anglia, on which our need to retain the Service married quarters at Bircham Newton depends, must await the outcome of the current defence review. I regret, therefore, that I am not yet able to say whether any of them can be declared surplus to Service requirements.
