§ Mr. EnnalsThe grant in aid to the external services of the BBC is not apportioned geographically. However, the cost of the services to Africa, excluding any proportional share of central activities such as engineering and administration, is approximately £320,000 per annum. The World Service is directed to Southern Africa, including Southern Rhodesia and Namibia, for l8¾ hours daily.
