HC Deb 10 April 1974 vol 872 cc205-6W
Dr. Boyson

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is his policy on parents choosing to send their children to schools in other local education authorities where there is evidence of overcrowding in schools in their own authority.

Mr. Armstrong

Any arrangement which an authority may make for admitting to its schools children from another authority's area is a matter for the authorities concerned. My right hon. Friend will consider any representations made to him in the light of the relevant provisions of the law and will have regard to all the circumstances of each case.
