asked the Attorney-General if the Advisory Council on Public Records is consulted in all cases in which public records and documents are withheld from the public for periods longer than 30 years.

The Attorney-General

The advisory council is consulted on all proposals either to lengthen or shorten the normal period of 30 years after which documents in the Public Records Office or in a place of deposit are to be made available to the public.
