asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will conduct a further appraisal of the mineral resources of Northern Ireland.

The Northern Ireland Executive, whose responsibility this is, has undertaken to review energy needs and resources with special reference to mineral development both on and off shore in its Statement of Economic and Social Aims published in January 1974.
