§ Mr. Denis HowellThe Public Health Act 1936 placed the responsibility for 167W dealing with statutory nuisances, including smells, on the local authority. 1 understand that an action in the High Court was initiated by the former local authorities against one of the alleged sources of bad smells. While this action may be continued by the successor authorities it would not be proper for me to make any comment.
