§ Dr. OwenAll members of hospital management committees—about 4,600, including chairmen—ceased to hold office from 31st March 1974. Of 224 regional health authority members, including chairmen, 77 were previously members of HMCs. The latest available information shows that 524 out of 1,452 members of AHAs, including chairmen, were previously members of HMCs.
