During the nine months January to September 1973 total exports from the EEC countries to the world market, not including sugar contained in composite goods, were 1,327,000 long tons—white sugar equivalent. Of this quantity, about 300,000 tons consisted of sugar which had been imported specifically for re-export after refining.
