HC Deb 09 April 1974 vol 872 c113W
Mr. Edwin Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what are his plans to cater for the educational needs of subnormal persons who have reached 19 years of age.

Mr. Armstrong

It will be open to the committee of inquiry into the education of handicapped children and young people to consider the educational needs of young adults. In addition, my right hon. Friend, as part of his consideration of the Russell Report on adult education, will be giving close study to the recommendations on the disadvantaged.
