§ Mr. Laneasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what estimate he has made of the number of dependants who would become entitled to enter the United Kingdom if the Government declared a general amnesty for illegal entrants who arrived before 1st January 1973 and are at present subject to removal under the Immigration Act 1971.
