§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieThe zoning of land adjacent to motorways is the responsibility of the local planning authorities12W whose development and structure plans require the approval of the Secretary of State for the Environment. I am satisfied that there are effective liaison arrangements between the two Departments on such matters, at all appropriate levels.
