Mr. Farr

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what is his policy in relation to industrial development certificates in the Market Harborough area; and, in particular, if he will confirm that no industrial development certificate is required for a light industrial unit there of less than 15,000 sq. ft. in extent.

An industrial development certificate is not required at present for the industrial floor space to be created by the development in question, together with any other industrial floor space created or to be created by a related development, which does not exceed, so far as Market Harborough is concerned, 15,000 sq. ft. Each application for an industrial development certificate is considered on its merits.
