HC Deb 08 April 1974 vol 872 c18W
Mr. Stephen Ross

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much revenue would accrue if the existing cost of a dog licence were trebled; and whether he will consider taking such action.

Mr. Moyle

Assuming that the number of licences remained unchanged the answer to the first part of the hon. Member's Question would be about £2 million more in Egland and Wales; i.e., £3 million in all. On the second part I would refer him to the reply which my hon. Friend the Minister of State gave to the Hon. Member for Dorset, South (Mr. Evelyn King) on 21st March 1974.—[Vol. 870, c.136–7.]
