HC Deb 05 April 1974 vol 871 cc449-50W
Mr. Warren

asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will review the system whereby pensions are reckoned for unestablished or temporary civil servants who served before 1948 as being only equivalent to half the number of years served before that date, whereas after 1948 the same staff are considered to have served the full number of years involved.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

I have already examined the subject of full reckoning for unestablished service rendered before 14th July 1949 and can hold out no hope of a change.
