(3) whether he is aware that for the 12 months ended June 1973 the approximate upkeep for No. 11 Downing Street was £3,750; and whether he will arrange for anyone who has the benefit of residence to pay a 50 per cent. portion of these costs;
(4) whether he is aware that for the 12 months ended June 1973 the approximate upkeep of costs for the two flats and one pied-â-terre at Admiralty House was £9,650; and whether he will arrange for anyone who has the benefit of residence to pay a 50 per cent. portion of these costs.
§ Mr. FreesonI gave these figures in reply to a Question from my hon. Friend on 28th March.—[Vol. 871, c.195–6.] It is not my intention to ask occupants to pay towards the upkeep, because these premises are an integral part of the Government Estate and it is appropriate that their upkeep should be paid for on the same basis as that of Government offices and other premises.
