Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what is the amount of Government aid or grants outstanding to any of the following companies: Swan Hunter, Scott Lithgow, Vickers, Yarrow and Vosper Thornycroft, either severally or in total.

Mr. Meacher

Aid at present committed to these companies but not yet paid totals £185,000, all of which is in the form of grants.
