§ 53. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress has been made at the International Court of Justice at The Hague regarding the dispute with Iceland over the extension of fisheries limits to 50 miles.
§ Mr. HattersleyMy right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General presented our case to the court on 25th March. A further hearing was held on 29th March, during which counsel for the United Kingdom gave replies to questions put by the court. A written answer to one further question was handed to the court on 2nd April. The court reserved its judgment to a date to be announced.
§ Mr. Wallasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the progress of the current hearing at the International Court of Justice at The Hague concerning the dispute over Icelandic fisheries limits.
