§ Mr. MaclennanOn the basis of information collected for the purposes of the Index of Retail Food Prices, the average price of a white, 1¾-lb. unwrapped loaf rose by 5.5p—62 per cent.—between 16th June 1970 and 19th February 1974. The price of a similar wrapped and sliced loaf rose by 5.2p—58 per cent.—over the same period.
