§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether, in view of the financial hardship being experienced by teachers in the London area because of the inadequacy of the London allowance, he will arrange for the Pay 392W Board to report on 30th April instead of 30th June as previously announced.
§ Mr. FootI am very conscious of the urgency of the situation. As I told the House on 18th March, we have already urged the Pay Board to speed up its report as much as possible and I have since undertaken to see if anything further can be done to hasten its completion.
