§ 48. Mr. Ronald Atkinsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will permit British Railways to extend electrification in the interest of the environment, to conserve oil supplies and to keep in full employment the teams of workmen who engineered and equipped the Preston-Glasgow electrification recently completed.
§ Mr. MulleyI shall consider any proposals from the British Railways Board about electrification in the light of these and other relevant factors.
