HC Deb 03 April 1974 vol 871 c393W
Mr. Donald Stewart

asked the Lord President of the Council if he will take action to make it the general drafting practice to make it clear in the titles of Government Bills to which country of the United Kingdom they apply.

Mr. Edward Short

This suggestion was referred by my predecessor to the then recently appointed Renton Committee on the Preparation of Legislation following the hon. Member's Question on 21st May 1973.—[Vol. 857, c.12.] The committee has not yet completed its work, but hopes to report this summer.
