HC Deb 02 April 1974 vol 871 c313W
55. Mr. Thorne

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether she has any early plans to overcome the problems of widows in respect of sickness and unemployment benefit.

Mr. Robert C. Brown

I can assure my hon. Friend that the position of widows in social security is a matter to which we shall give sympathetic attention in the comprehensive review of pensions which we are undertaking. But if he has a particular case in mind perhaps he will be good enough to let me have the details.
