§ Sir G. Howeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the effect on the retail price index—where appropriate, including separately direct and indirect effects—of each of the following measures from the dates they take effect: (1) increase in industrial coal prices (a) on 1st April 1974, (b) in "the autumn"; (2) increase in domestic coal prices; (3) increase in electricity prices (a) domestic, (b) non-domestic; (4) increase in railway passenger charges; (5) increase 320W in railway freight charges; (6) increase in postal charges; and (7) increase in telephone and other telecommunication charges.
