The provision for furniture and equipment also covers a large number of relatively minor items of which only three, the furnishing of the Peers' Dining Room extension (£10,000), the Peers' Smoking/ Writing Room (£6,000) and the Peers' Committee Room (£7,000), cost more than £5,000.
House of Commons:
House of Commons: Underground car park 1,021,000 Norman Shaw North 500,000 New parliamentary building site purchase (part) 2,276,000 Reorganisation of kitchens 135,000 Completion of "Tea Room" scheme 25,000 As in the Lords there was also a relatively large number of minor works and items of furniture and equipment.
