§ Mr. Bowdenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what research his Department is carrying out at the present time to ascertain the effects on the seabed and fish conservation of heavy beam trawling.
§ Mr. BuchanMy Department has recently carried out observations on the tracks made by beam and otter trawls on the sea bed. Results of these observations are at present being assessed.
