§ Dr. GilbertI have received a considerable number of letters on this subject. I do not think, however, that it would be justifiable to reduce or abolish the tax on all widows' pensions, regardless of the size of the widow's income. Widows will of course share in the increases which have been announced in all national insurance pensions.
