Mr. David Steel

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the projects in Roxburgh, Selkirk and Peebles that will be affected by the Government cut-backs in public expenditure.

Local authorities' programmes are subject to the arrangements announced on 17th December 1973 and notified to all Scottish local authorities in SDD Circular No. 124/1973. Since for most services there is not an approved programme of specific projects it is not practicable to identify the effect on individual authorities.
