§ Mr. Hugh JenkinsThe Arts Council, which is responsible for grants to orchestras in Great Britain, is already aware of how orchestras in Europe are financed. It is for the council to decide whether arrangements operating abroad throw light on the different arrangements operating in this country. Our methods are not always inferior to those employed elsewhere.
