asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many people classified by the Inland Revenue as single persons are in each of the following categories: (a) unmarried women, (b) unmarried men, (c) widows, (d) widowers, (e) divorced men, (f) divorced women, (g) separated men and (h) separated women, respectively.
