§ Mr. Strangasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will review the boundaries of the development areas, taking into account the proposals of the EEC Commission regarding the regions and zones which should be deemed eligible for aid from the European Regional Development Fund.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantNo. The Commission's proposals are based on criteria which are different from those which by statute must be taken into account in designating development areas. The hon. Member will have noticed that the Commission's criteria bring a number of intermediate areas within the scope of the RDF.
