No collection has been arranged in the Royal Air Force althought a gift will be made from Royal Air Force non-public funds. At the suggestion of Her Royal Highness the Princess Anne the substantial amount by which the money collected exceeds the cost of the presents chosen by the Services will be donated to charity.
