§ Mr. Milneasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement in regard to the pensions bonus attached to the miners' pension scheme.
§ Mr. DeanIt is not proposed that payments under the mine workers' pension scheme shall be qualifying benefits for the purpose of the special payment of £10. Miners who are over pensionable age—65 for a man—and in receipt of national insurance retirement pension or one of the other qualifying benefits will however receive the special payment.
