§ Mr. Bishopasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how soon he intends to introduce legislation to give equal opportunities for men and women, having regard to the urgency occasioned by the implementation of the Equal Pay Act in 1975.
§ Mr. CarlisleThe Government's proposals are set out in the Consultative Document "Equal Opportunities for Men and Women", on which comments have been requested by 30th November. We intend to introduce legislation as soon as possible thereafter, consistent with the need to consider the comments received.
