Friend the Minister of Agriculture has been engaged for some time in discussions with sugar refiners with a view to finding an agreed and orderly solution to the problems which confront the industry. Should any closure of refinery capacity prove to be inevitable, all the facilities of my Department's employment and training services would be available to help the workers affected.
