§ Mrs. Shirley Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether, in view of the sale by International Computers Limited of a computer to South Africa for the purpose of keeping pass system records, he will make it his policy that such sales in future should be subject to Government permission.
§ Mr. ChatawayNo. There is no international agreement to control computer sales to South Africa and there are, therefore, no restrictions on companies, including ICL's British and foreign competitors, selling computer equipment to South Africa.
