§ Mr. Skinnerasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will put in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of those companies that have failed to comply with the Price Commission's requirements regarding declaration of 1973 half-year returns.
§ Sir G. HoweThe process of completing returns has had to be undertaken in many cases in consultation with the Price Commision. By 12th October returns had been finalised with 88 per cent. of Category I and 78 per cent. of Category II firms. The commission expects to finalise the rest very shortly. As its most recent report indicates, it is fully aware of its responsibility to enforce the price code and prepared to initiate action against any cases of unjustifiable delay.
