§ Sir John Hallasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is able to give an estimate of the number of overseas students who have attended courses at educational institutions in the United Kingdom during the past five years and who have remained in this country after the expiration of their visas.
§ Mr. LaneIn the five years ended 31st December 1972, 12,153 Commonwealth citizens originally admitted as students had their conditions of stay revoked and were allowed to remain here.
