§ 36. Mr. David Steelasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has made on behalf of the cane sugar producing associated countries during the current negotiations on the future sugar policy of the EEC.
§ Mr. GodberI have left my Community colleagues in no doubt about the importance we attach to the developing Commonwealth countries continuing to have an assured market in the Community, after 1974, for the full quantity of sugar which they at present send us under the Commonwealth Sugar Agreement, namely 1.4 million tons. I remain entirely confident that this will be accepted.
