§ Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry why members of the committee investigating pilot fatigue for the Civil Aviation Authority were required to sign the Official Secrets Act.
§ Mr. OnslowThe Civil Aviation Authority has informed me that in view of the fact that all members of the committee might need access to information of a confidential nature, their attention was formally drawn to the application of the Official Secrets Act by reason of the provisions of Section 61(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1971.
