The corresponding figure for the West Midlands conurbation as a whole, for the Merseyside conurbation and for Greater 169W London was 0.2 per cent. in each case. For the other English conurbations, the proportions were 0.1 per cent. in Tyne-side, 0.6 per cent. in West Yorkshire and 0.7 per cent. in South-East Lancashire.
