§ Mrs. FennerOn the basis of information collected for the purposes of the Index of Retail Food Prices, the average price of a white, 1¾-lb. unwrapped loaf was 8.8p on 16th June 1970 and 10.9p on 21st August 1973, the latest date for which information is available. The average price of a white, 1¾-lb. wrapped and sliced loaf was 9p in June. 1970 and 10.8p in August 1973. Since then the Price Commission has approved increases which will have added approximately ½p per loaf.
