§ Sir H. d'Avigdor-Goldsmidasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what are the expenses so far incurred by his Department in connection with the investigation under Section 165(b) of the Companies Act 1948 into the affairs of Pergamon Press Limited by the inspector appointed by his Department in 1969, including legal expenses and the remuneration of the inspectors and their assistants.
§ Sir G. HoweBills rendered so far by the inspectors for their work which has resulted in the three reports total £134,750. An estimate of the Department's legal costs cannot be given till the litigation is completed.
