§ Mr. Dudley SmithOn 7th November 1973 there were 24,525 unfilled vacancies in the hotel and catering industries. Of these 11,501 were in hotels and other residential establishments. The figures relate only to vacancies notified to employment offices and careers offices and do not measure the total unsatisfied demand for labour.
